I have been meaning to send out this message for a week now, since I received several questions about the yard sale. It seems a little early for me, but I admire folks who can look to the future and plan ahead. The yard sale is held the first Sunday in June every year, so mark it down for 2009. For a fee of $12, the HPCC provides sellers with balloons and signs, does the advertising, and provides shoppers with a map of the sales. Maps can be picked up by shoppers at 9 am on the day of the yard sale at 3 intersections: N Highland and Stanton; N Negley and Hampton; Bunkerhill and N St Clair. If you would like to have a sale at your house, send a $12 check (payable to HPCC) to Judy Wolfe at 5910 Wellesley Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15206, by Wednesday May 28th at 5 pm. Include the following info: Name, Address of the sale, Phone Number, Email address, Items for sale (please include general categories unless there is a special item you need to feature, like Brand New Refrigerator, 1980 Apple computer, '57 Mercedes, etc).
