Hi HP-ers, I volunteer at the Women's Center and Shelter in the Children's Program, and we are making little purses with the kids for them to give to their moms. What we are in need of is some underpadding to sandwich between the 2 fabrics, like a quilted or bonded fabric mattress pad. I realize batting would be another option, but given our short amount of time and the fact that the kids are hand sewing, the already-quilted or bonded pad seems to be a better way to go. Pieces of already-quilted fabric are another option, and they can be remnants from another project since we will be using small pieces in the project. I'm open to any other suggestions, but if anyone has something like this that they would be willing to donate, it would be greatly appreciated.
