HI neighbors, I'm writing for advice.  Over a year ago I cancelled my verizon service (with much difficulty), but received a bill a few months later.  I have called several times and been assured that the bill would be taken care of, but recently they have sent the bill to a (very rude) collection agency.  I have tried to call verizon several times but have been disconnected or passed from one person to another, each denying the ability to help me.   I have filed a complaint with the BBB (apparently Verizon does have a history of responding to complaints), but am wondering if anyone has ideas about what else I can do.  I'm very worried that this is going to affect my or my husband's credit report.   Also, anyone with Verizon, be warned.  If they offered me FREE service I would not take it.   Thanks, Meg
