[Highland Park] Local Computer Support and Repairs
Greetings, I just wanted to give everyone a "heads up" that you have a local community member that specializes in Computer ( PC ) Support and repairs and also has a "quick answer" help desk that is a local number, ( I'm on Winterton St. ... not in Asia ! ) for existing clients. My name is Steve Karl and I run and maintain the Pittsburgh PC Help Desk which can be found at: http://www.sightsea.com/pghpchd/ My "pet peeve" ::: New Computers that run very poorly because that "name brand company" put all that junk-ware in the machine. I've gotten really good at cleaning them up and making them perform well. Free Anti-Virus software that out performs the "2 big sellers" and is very "light weight" and easy on your PC. Initial phone consult is no charge, and most "quick calls" from existing clients are also no charge. Hardware repair / replacement also. So, give me a ring if you need some help, a recommendation on what to buy and where to get it, or just want more general info. Thanks, Steve Karl 412-441-4349
Greetings all, As you all know CNET is a very well respected resource for PC related information. http://www.news.com/Windows-XP-outshines-Vista-in-benchmarking-test/2100-101... Also, just a heads up that XP is still available until June, at this point in time. Possibly ( hopefully ) the cutoff point will be extended. So, if you're planning on buying a new PC and want the best performance and the least amount of problems, XP is still the obvious choice in my opinion. Sincerely, Steve Karl The Pittsburgh PC Help Desk www.SightSea.com/PghPCHD P.S. This has also been common knowledge in the Digital Audio Community for a long time.
