PhD student from Carnegie Mellon conducting interviews about legacy
Hi, I'm Beka, a PhD student at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon. I've written to the list before when recruiting for two previous research projects. On both occasions, I received an outpouring of support from the people on this mailing list and had a great experience talking with them. I'm writing now to ask if there are people who are interested in participating in my latest research project. For this study, I'm exploring the different ways in which people think about what their legacy might be. The study is composed of a short online survey and an in person interview that would be conducted at your house. The study will take between 1 to 2 hours and compensation for your participation is twenty dollars. Anyone over the age of 18 and who can use the computer to browse the internet is eligible to participate. We are looking for people in a variety of different age groups in order to get a broader understanding of legacy and the use of digital services (like email, social networks, and mobile phones). If you are interested in participating or want to know more about the study, please send me an email at rgulotta@andrew.cmu.edu. More information about me and my work is available on my website: http://rebeccagulotta.com/ Thank you, Rebecca Gulotta
