Re: [Highland Park] Why lose tree at Highland and Bryant?
Dear Neighbors That was my tree, and as a Master Gardener and an environmentalist, taking that tree down, broke no one's heart more than mine. I did get a citation from the city about the side walk, which means that some one called the city and asked that the tripping hazard be removed. When I called the city forestry service to deal with the citation, they insisted the tree come down. I do plan to make 2 wide planting beds and plant 2 new trees. The city now has a list of approved trees for sidewalks. Nancy Arnold -----Original Message-----

Does anyone know why the city took down the tree at Highland and Bryant this morning? All of us at the bus stop were wondering.
Thanks,
