The Organ Historical Society is meeting in Pittsburgh this week, and they will be coming to St. Andrew's Church, Highland Park, at 9 a.m. this Thursday, June 24, to hear a recital on St. Andrew's highly-regarded 1913 E.M. Skinner (Rebuilt 1990, Luley and Associates) Pipe Organ. All of us in the parish and neighborhood are invited to attend this free program. In recital will be Donald Wilkins, presently Interim Organist at the East Liberty Presbyterian Church and long-time Organist and Choirmaster of Calvary Episcopal Church, East Liberty, and Dr. Charles Heaton, long-time Organist and Choirmaster of the East Liberty Presbyterian Church, Organist in Residence at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, and Interim Organist at Calvary Episcopal Church, East Liberty, and the Oakmont Presbyterian Church. Mr. Wilkins will pay music by Pittsburgh composers Harvey Gaul, Reuel Lahmer, Nancy Galbraith, and Joseph Willcox Jenkins.
