[Highland Park] 10 foot ficus tree
I have a 10 foot artificial ficus tree that was hand made by a gentleman in Dallas, where I lived for 20 years. My decorator had this made especially for a certain spot in my house at the time. Because the decorator was my sister in law, I was able to only pay 150 for it. However, it would have been much more for someone else. The tree is huge but VERY VERY realistic, not cheap looking or tacky. The many trunks that hold the large branches of leaves are so realistic and really look like bark. The leaves are sturdy and very green on both sides, no purple or red. The branches are flexible to a degree so that the greenery spreads out to cover a 6 foot area. The greenery is also high enough from the pot it sits in so you could put a piece of furniture under it and still be able to stand up and not hit the tree's leaves. I had it in a large corner and a sofa in front of it. Its easily washable. I would take it in the driveway and hose it down and let it dry in the sun. The leaves only, not the trunk. I live in a smaller apartment now and have no room for it. It weighs about 50 pounds. I am keeping the large terra cotta pot it was I put it in a nice basket with spanish moss covering the top of the pot. Its your's if you can pick it up. I dont want to trash it, its too nice of a tree for someone who could use it. Contact me if you're interested. I also still have the can of unopened dove gray paint - Behr Ultra Finish Primer and Paint in One - eggshell finish. I'd like $25 or best off for it.
