[Highland Park] GLUTEN FREE & VEGETARIAN CLASSES ADDED AT CHOP, WOK & TALK!
DESCRIPTION OF CLASSES: Healthy Foods for Life: a mini series consisting of breakfast, lunch, dinner & snack classes (all gluten free). Each class is 2 hours long, you will cook and eat 4 items, and the cost is $40.00. Classes are also offered during the day (11:00-1:00)and all classes are taught by Gulzat Dalton. Breakfast menu: choco-kale shake, omelet muffins, pumpkin pie quinoa casserole and millet zucchini pancakes/waffles Lunch menu: creamy cauliflower soup, black bean burger, sweet potato and carrot fries, quinoa with Brussel sprouts, avocado and tahini sauce & chocolate cupcakes with coconut milk icing Dinner menu: vegetarian chili, roasted chicken with cauliflower puree, broccoli salad with dried cherries and a cashew dill dressing and chocolate chip cookie pie Snacks and desserts: hummus, granola bars, peanut butter cookies, and a berry almond crisp with cardamom custard Regular Classes: These are 3 hour Ethnic classes with a cost of $65.00/$70.00 depending on the class. Classes are taught by Martha or Dorothy Gluten Free Chinese/$65.00: beef sates, hot & sour soup, vegetarian spring rolls with lime cilantro sauce, mango chicken with snow peas, onions, and red peppers, fried rice, and kung poa pork Gluten Free Thai/$65.00: Tom yum hot and spicy shrimp soup, corn fritters with a cucumber and peanut salsa, green mango salad, pineapple fried rice, pesto salmon with a spicy fruit sauce, and sticky rice for dessert Vegetarian Tapas/$70.00: roasted sweet onions with Cabrales blue cheese, almonds, chives, & a balsamic drizzle, Manchego croquettes with quince sauce, flatbread with onions, peppers & cheese, sauteed championes (mushrooms) with herbs, grilled vegetables with romesco sauce, orange salad with sunflower seeds, almonds, black olives & mint, churros and hot chocolate plus sangria Vegetarian Italian/$65.00: bruschetta with white beans and cheese, lemon mascarpone gnocchi with a basil sauce, panzanella (bread & veggie salad), homemade fettuccine with sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, & artichokes, eggplant rollatini with homemade tomato basil sauce, and a seasonal fruit crostata for dessert ALL OF THESE CLASSES.
