Neighbors, I'm looking for recommendations for a carpenter and for someone to do some projects with our windows. Can you help? This work is at our 1906 house that still has most of its original woodwork and windows. If you know of a good carpenter who could fix a broken doorframe in a way that retains the "old-house" look (e.g., will match the other trim), please send me your recommendations! This is a timely request as the door is inoperable, but I would be willing to discuss other future carpentry projects with the carpenter that gets the job. Also, if your house has its original wood windows and you've either had them updated with replacements that look the same, or have replaced your storm windows over the old windows, please send me your recommendations for that work as well!
