I am sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, but an orange cat was hit and killed by a car in the 900 block of N. Highland Avenue. A passerby moved the remains to the sidewalk in front of my house (923 N. Highland), and my neighbor informs me that the city will come tomorrow to remove them if they are still there. If you are missing a cat of this description, I am so sorry for your loss. Alex West
