Wanted to give the neighborhood a recommendation and a warning on plumbers. I had a clogged sewage pipe in my basement.  I called RotoRooter and they said they could fix it for $230.  I told them that seemed a bit expensive and that Gillece Plumbing had a special and they would do it for $100.  RotoRooter warned me that Gillece would come and tell me I needed to rip up my basement and the problem was bigger than it was. Well, I had Gillece here the next day and within 10 minutes that is exactly what they told me.  They told me I had a broke trap, and they would have to cut a 4'x4' hole in my basement floor to fix it, and it would cost me $4,000 to $8,000.  They were very pushy.  I thanked them for their time, and asked them to fix.  I would take quotes. I called RotoRooter 5 minutes later, and had them come back immediately.  I didn't tell them what Gillece Plumbing told me, and they had the clog fixed in 10 minutes!!!!  I called back Gillace and demanded a refund of the $100 I paid them. Since this time, I have heard MANY, MANY bad things about Gillece, and similar issues with this company.  They were even on the news for their bad business practices.  Just wanted to warn everyone about them!!!! The RotoRooter guys were very polite, fix the problem quickly, and I was very satisfied!
