Hi, I've just recently been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome. I haven't yet met with the surgeon, but I have had the nerve conduction test done. If you have dealt with carpal tunnel and would be willing to tell me about your experience, my questions at this point are: 1. How did you decide to have the surgery -- or not?2. If you opted for the "conservative treatment," did it work?3. If you opted for surgery, was the recovery period manageable (especially if you live alone)? Were there any special difficulties?4.
