[Highland Park] Last Call... Social Media. And Red Wine!
Another opportunity to learn about brokering the voice of your business services, or non-profit to your constituents. The price includes the wine. This Thursday Jan. 31st from 7-9pm; space is limited. Details below... I know many of us are sole proprietors or independent contractors, work in small non-profit organizations, and are business/community leaders in our respective organizations. We might not be able to hire someone in social media communications, or aren't sure if we need to use it. This is an introduction to social media, branding, communication, and how it will effect us and our organizations. Our business practices, methods, ethics, etc. will all become accountable to others via social media. Things are changing drastically, and keeping up can be overwhelming! Here's what you will walk away with: - Knowing the difference between social mediums and "traditional mediums" - Differences in expectations and practice in marketing as it pertains to the above - Set up at least one account for your organization, business, non-profit, etc. - Learned by doing! Navigating your account/s as a business (as different than personally) on whatever platform/s we use - Specific needs as defined by group via questionnaire or during the seminar Bring your notebook/laptop or tablet, although the former is better. A smartphone will get you through in a pinch, if that's your only portable device. (If you have more than one, bring them! Things appear different on different devices.)
