Sharing this Lawrenceville site post in the hopes it reconnects this dog with its owner. I tried to find a "Nextdoor - Highland Park" page but couldn't so posting it here in case anyone knows someone in the area that's lost a dog.... We were driving to Highland Park earlier today and a little black dog with a yellow collar came flying out into the road and was nearly hit by the car coming in the opposite direction, thankfully it halted just for a second and then carried on running, we followed it and tried to call it to come to our car but it was certainly on a mission! It was a fast little thing despite it's short legs and ran up over the hill into Highland Park near the reservoir - we parked inside the main gates of the park and started to walk our dog and the little thing came running towards us so I did the usual things you do when trying to grab a loose dog (being 40 weeks pregnant I wasn't sure what I thought I was going to be able to achieve!) but it raced on by and we couldn't catch it.... So if you know someone in that area that's lost a small black dog that looks like a long haired dachshund (I'm no expert!) they might want to try up there as it's having a lovely time!
