Photos attached are of thieves-in-progress taken with an iPhone. A police report was filed within 20 minutes after 911 dispatchers failed to alert the street patrol that the theft was immediate and being reported by an eyewitness. Two teens, approaching from the east on Callery Street, were seen walking down a driveway of a house located on the 900 block of Sheridan Avenue. The teens entered the unlocked man-door of a two-car garage located at the rear of the house. Within moments they exited the garage on bikes and were confronted. When confronted, the teens denied that the bikes did not belong to them and fled to the south on Jackson Street towards Highland Ave. It appeared as though the thieves were aware of the content of the garage before having entered it.
