RE: All Saints Sunday 2016
A brief correction, to note that this Sunday the assembly of choir and orchestra will have us conducting the 9 a.m. service in the Church also, and not in the Chapel . . . . BruceR -----Original Message----- From: Rector Sent: Thursday, November 03, 2016 3:25 PM To: 'Groups St Andrew's'; 'Neighborhood' Subject: All Saints Sunday 2016 A reminder that services at St. Andrew's on All Saints Sunday, November 6, 2016, include a 9 a.m. service of the Holy Communion in the Chapel and an 11 a.m. Choral service of the Holy Communion in the Church. Both services will include prayers remembering departed loved ones of the congregation. At the 11 a.m. service the St. Andrew's Parish Choir and the Pittsburgh Festival Orchestra, under the direction of Thomas Octave, will present the F.J. Haydn Missa Brevis in D minor, Missa in Angustiis ("Mass in Unsettled Times," or "the Lord Nelson Mass). For more information: http://www.classicfm.com/composers/haydn/music/nelson-mass/ For more information: http://thomasoctave.com/ Childcare for infants and younger children is provided during both services in the Nursery, upstairs in the Parish House, and older children will have the opportunity to participate in a Children's Chapel service and program during the later service. During the 10 a.m. "hour between the services" our Adult Bible Study meets in the Parlor, downstairs in the Old Rectory, continuing a study of the Book of Hebrews. Our Coffee and Conversation Group meets in Barley Hall, downstairs in the Parish House. This week our conversation will feature a report from our parish clergy and lay deputies to the annual diocesan convention. All are welcome! Bruce Robison, Rector St. Andrew's Church, Highland Park
