[Highland Park] Please clean-up after dogs.
This time of year the kids enjoy playing in the snow and often times aren't paying attention to what's on the ground, before its too late...please take a moment to pick up after your dogs...its also a $300 fine for anyone caught not cleaning up after their dogs. Please be considerate, wouldn't want anyone to get a citation. Thanks
Regarding Joe and Amy's email Believe it or not there are Highland Park residents that don't pick-up after their dog, but they probably don't subscribe to this list serve. To those of us that do pick-up after your dog keep an eye out for those who do not. thanks From: neighborhood-bounces@highlandparkpa.com [mailto:neighborhood-bounces@highlandparkpa.com] On Behalf Of Joe & Amy Sent: Friday, January 20, 2012 2:08 PM To: neighborhood@highlandparkpa.com Subject: [Highland Park] Please clean-up after dogs. Thanks for the reminder. I also wanted to remind dog owners not to put your dog waste bags in peoples' empty trash cans that may be sitting out by the curb on garbage day, after garbage has been collected. Please take them home to your own house to dispose of, or use one of the public city garbage cans. As a responsible dog owner/walker myself, I second this request. I have witnessed others allowing their dogs to roam about the street, messing in other people's yards while the owner stands nonchalantly by and does nothing to clean up the mess. I have found feces on my sidewalk leading to my front door, in various places in my yard, and even draped over a beautiful new spring planting! It is really upsetting to me to see this. Our neighborhood is only as beautiful and sanitary and clean as we keep it. Please be a good neighbor and be responsible for your pets. I too, would hate to see someone fined, but am glad to know there is legal recourse. If you cannot afford doggie poop bags, ask one of your neighbors. I am sure someone would be able to help you out. Thanks. -----Original Message----- From: Joe & Amy <jaisvolpe@gmail.com> To: neighborhood <neighborhood@highlandparkpa.com> Sent: Sat, Jan 21, 2012 4:20 am Subject: [Highland Park] Please clean-up after dogs. Doggie poop bags are as close as newspapers being delivered. I get two a day, and would be glad to donate them to somebody.
