All, I made some changes to improve the way the list operates and to help reduce the spam the moderator has to wade through to find real posts to approve. The list will now discard spam that has been identified instead of holding it for approval. The list and associated addresses for requests and bounces now operate only as highlandparkpa.com and no longer highlandpark.pgh.pa.us. Please update your address books: Neighborhood@highlandparkpa.com Also, occasionally the virus scanner stops working, causing posts to be delayed unnecessarily as was the case with a timely message posted last week. I'll try to get that problem fixed soon as well. Lastly, I changed the web archives of the list to be accessible to list members only and with a password. Having the archives be searchable was good but many people were posting things they did not want to share with everyone on the planet. Keep in mind though when you post that you really don't know who the other thousand or so list members are (or whether they are really in the neighborhood). Bob continues to be your moderator.
