FW: Invitation from our neighbors at East Liberty Presbyterian
Simply wanting to share a good community resource. Thanks to Heather Eng for calling it to my attention-- Sent: Tuesday, March 01, 2016 10:46 PM To: Rector Subject: Invitation from our neighbors at East Liberty Presbyterian Grief Support Group Grieving is a process, a human experience which, when met with compassion and care, can flow into a renewed and deepened engagement with life. Beginning in March, ELPC will offer a Grief Support Group for those in our community (ELPC and beyond) who are grieving and/or struggling through loss and change. This six week group offers professional guidance, safe space, and community support to face the challenges and emotional upheaval that often accompany loss or difficult change. The facilitators will provide direction and resources, healing practices, and ample opportunities for sharing and discussion. The group is co-facilitated by Ted Cmarada and Susan Spangler, ELPC members and psychotherapists with over 30 years of experience in accompanying people through the journey of loss and grief. Their work is grounded in experience and seasoned with warm, compassionate presence. The Group will meet for six weeks on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm beginning March 10th, and is free for all. Note: The group will not meet on Holy Thursday, March 24th.
