I personally spent two years working with the City and Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy on making the Highland Park OLEA a reality. It was built as a city-wide venue and it is open to EVERYONE, regardless of race, religion, national origin or the language they speak. My Highland Park has always prided itself on its inclusiveness and diversity. I see it as one of our strengths and one of the reasons our community is flourishing. I, for one, will not tolerate anything, but courteous and respectful personal interaction with all peoples who utilize the OLEA and responsible dog ownership behavior. Anything else is unacceptable and those who cannot abide by that fundamental right are not welcome.
