Hello. We live on the corner of Stanton and N Highland. We’ve just discovered that a bike lane is being created on Stanton. We have major concerns about our parking! Because of the bus stop on N Highland, we can’t park in front of our houses, and now if parking is taken away on Stanton, we won’t be able to park there either. As well, we are constantly fighting for parking with the employees of the nursing home who take all available spaces during the day. Does anyone have any further details about this? We homeowners informed but we somehow missed it. My neighbor and I would greatly appreciate any information you can provide Thank you!
Hello Susan, and all, Here is the city's Engage Page on Stanton Ave Phase 2. <https://engage.pittsburghpa.gov/complete-streets/stanton-ave-complete-st-phase-2> As you can see there was a public meeting in March, and all homes on Stanton Ave received fliers about the meeting and the project. If you are interested in projects going on in the neighborhood and around the city, I recommend signing up with Engage PGH <https://engage.pittsburghpa.gov/>. You can also comment on projects here. If you want to get involved in making Highland Park and East Liberty safer for pedestrians and cyclists, join the HP/EL bike/ped committee.
