This is a great opportunity! As a supplement/alternative, CLP - East Liberty will be holding Test Prep Study Club every Tuesday from 10-11 am starting June 10th and going through August. We will have a qualified tutor on hand, and free SAT/ACT resources, as well as librarians knowledgeable about test-taking strategies. Teens will have access to computers, iPads, and study books. The scholarships are offered in partnership with Pittsburgh Prep and Hoon Kim. Hoon has been Tutoring students for 14+ years. Previously, students have increased their SAT scores by 250 points. The tutoring sessions are instructor-led. Classes typically run over a two-week period, starting in late June. Classes will be held at 134 S. Highland Avenue in East Liberty. Eligible students: Rising sophomores, juniors and seniors with a 3.0 GPA may apply. Students must demonstrate that their coursework has prepared them for this advanced program. Needs-Based: These awards are based on financial need. Eligibility is based on a parents’ income, which cannot exceed 200% of Federal poverty levels.
