Commander Lando's weekly update from Zone 5 is below and attached. Incidents and arrests from Highland Park include: Incidents: 10/24/16 Theft from Vehicle – Pittsburgh Zoo parking lot. (200889) 10/26/16 Theft from Vehicle – Hampton Street & N. Negley Avenue. (201782) 10/27/16 Theft from Vehicle – 6600 block Jackson Street. (202482) 10/27/16 Theft from Vehicle – 6500 block Jackson Street. (202591) 10/30/16 Burglary – 600 block N. Negley Avenue. Victim returned home to find her front door unlocked. Several items were missing from her residence, include a 48" Vizio TV, a Sony PlayStation 4, a white Apple TV, and several clothing items. The victim suspects a known male who was recently at her home. Detectives are investigating. (205005) Arrests: 10/29/16 at 7:19 PM – Washington Blvd & Highland Drive (Highland Park): Officer Coleman conducted a traffic stop and found the vehicle registration to be expired and the driver's license to be suspended. The driver was identified as Brian Hayes, 28, of Oakland. Upon telling Hayes that his car would need to be towed, Hayes became combative. He jumped back into his car and rolled up the windows and locked the doors. After repeated commands to exit the vehicle, Hayes jumped out, balled up his fists, and took a fighting stance with officers. He was taken to the ground by an officer where he was handcuffed.
