Tickets for UnWrapped, the Union Project grand opening celebration and 4th annual art exhibit/sale will take place at the Union Project on Friday, November 18. The Grand Opening celebration begins with a 6:30 pm preview party in the Atrium showcasing the artwork of local artists working in ceramics, glass, painting and more, followed by a 7:30 pm concert in the Great Hall with Pittsburgh Symphony’s Chamber Orchestra conducted by Andres Cardenes and featuring Damian Bursill-Hall and Jennifer Conner on flute. Mama Gail’s Eggrolls will provide refreshments. Hot and Cold drinks will also be served. Tickets to this event are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Volunteers will assist with Christmas tree events, cleaning, painting, stained glass restoration, or other tasks depending on weather or construction progress. New Program Schedule Announced Union Project announces a new 2006 schedule of classes available. Classes will be offered in Stained Glass Restoration, Mosaic Mural Installation, Short Story Writing, Yoga, and more. Additional class opportunities are on the horizon. Sierra Club & Beer On Wednesday, November, 16th from 7-9pm the Sierra Club invites you to join them for a beer and some music in the Great Hall at the Union Project in Highland Park. The Beer is coming from the East End Brewing company. And Scott Smith owner of the Company will be speaking about his brew and his use of sustainable brewing practices. The Music will be provided by Inviolet a progressive folk rock/band with a little blues thrown in too.
