Hi neighbors, Unfortunately no one ever came looking for this little girl, but the good news is after almost two months at the shelter, this sweet dog who we named Piper at the ARL finally got adopted last night by a wonderful little family. Thank you Dawn Fels for taking her in and caring for her until I could get there! She quickly became a favorite of both staff and volunteers and as happy as I was to see her go home I'm gonna miss her! A happy new beginning for Piper thanks to good neighbors! Hello, neighbors! A wonderfully sweet dog followed my neighbor home to the 1400 block of N. Euclid this afternoon. She is super friendly, energetic, and loves to give kisses. She appeared to be healthy and well cared for, so she must belong to someone. Unfortunately, she had no collar or tags. My neighbor kept the dog safe until Mary at the Animal Rescue League could take her. If you or a friend lost this little sweetheart, you can contact them tomorrow. Mary said the dog was not chipped. She estimated the dog's age around 1-2 years old. She is a pit bull mix and weighs about 45 lbs. I'm posting this pic that Mary took. The dog is predominantly black with a bit of white on her chest, face, paws, and between her ears. She is a super sweet dog. I hope her human contacts Animal Rescue. If that doesn't happen, Mary said she'll be available for adoption after she is spayed and chipped. If you have any questions about the dog that I can answer before the ARL opens tomorrow, feel free to call me at 724-467-0670.
