Hi all - Yep - another one for the neighborhood. Any Guardian home security customers out there? A guy with an APX/Honeywell shirt is walking around the neighborhood, claiming to be a representative of the company sent to "update" home security equipment. You guessed it - he's not. According to Guardian, the scam involves having customers sign double contracts and be billed for two security systems. As the customer service rep at Guardian just told me, Guardian would never ever send folks door to door. The guy in question is early 20s, white, short & wide, bad skin. He was at my house on Farragut at 4:45 on Wed. afternoon. For the record, I thought he was going to swallow his teeth when I told him I knew it was a scam and would be informing authorities. -Helen 912 Farragut
