I'm having trouble getting this note posted: Thursday night someone stole two hanging wooden baskets from in front of our porch steps in the 6100 block of Jackson. They were quite large square boxes and quite distinct- they were handmade (by my father in law for a mother's day present for me). I had taken two of the three handmade baskets down for them to get some rainwater late Thursday afternoon. They had beautiful multi-colored begoinias in them. Unfortunately, I forgot to rehang them and left them sitting at the base of the steps overnight. (Not anywhere near the curb however, so they wouldn't have given the impression they were out for the trash). In the morning they were gone. I filed a police report.
