Please reply if you'd like to be on my house concert and/or free film list for films at CMU & Pitt.The next hoot will be on Sunday, Jan 11, from 4-7, not the later date and earlier time stated earlier. It will be at Your Inner Vagabond, 4130 Butler St. in Lawrenceville. The best news is that this will be a permanent time and place, every second Sunday of the month, with many thanks to Your Inner Vagabond for their first rate venue and food.As the librarian for the hoot, I put together 10 looseleafs of lyrics. Please reply if you'd like me to email you the current index in word format. Please contact me if there are any songs you'd like to be included. We're also using Rise Up Singing. Please tell me the names of anyone else you think might be interested in coming to the hoot so I can add them to my list. The JCC Choral group meets on Thursdays at the JCC at 10 a.m. It is open to JCC members who like to sing. The group performs in the community as a mitzvah. The current events group meets on Fridays from 10-11 am & 11 am - noon on Fridays; it is free.The Balkan Babes, a local group that performs traditional music from Bulgaria, Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia and some Romanian Gypsy music, holds a CD release party on Jan. 4, 2008 with music, dancing, food and drink, 2 to 6 p.m. @ City Theatre Lounge, South Side; $5 or $20 with CD, http://www.balkanbabes.org or balkanbabes@yahoo.com. Their most recent CD is entitled Thoth Speaks.
