Hi Neighbors!  I just wanted to pass along the great news that after a long and complex process, on Feb 1, 2011, the City of Pittsburgh approved the expansion of the Environmental Charter School to the Park Place school building... Here is the official ruling from City Council: File number 2011-1262 Resolution approving a Conditional Use under the Pittsburgh Code, Title Nine, Zoning, Article V, Chapter 911 Section 911.04.A.64 to Park Place School Associates, owner, for authorization to use the existing three-story structure located at 309 South Braddock Ave. as an Elementary School with a maximum of 234 Students on property zoned R2-L, Residential Two-Unit, Low Density Districe, 14th Ward, Council District No. 9.   For those of you that signed petitions, wrote letters or sent emails to City Council and just talked about this issue with your friends and neighbors, I thank you for your support!
