Hello neighbors! I’m the cubmaster for Pack 343 at St. Raphael. We have a fun program with parent involvement that helps develop skills and character. There are packs all around, so if this interests you please visit https://beascout.scouting.org to find a pack near you. Here are some of our upcoming activities: May 23 (tomorrow!): our 4th and 5th graders will place flags in Allegheny Cemetery. If your potential Cub Scout is in this grade range, you are welcome to join us! We meet at 5pm. May 26: we will help out in Highland Park by pulling garlic mustard in the park. It’s fun, easy, and rewarding. May 28: we will march in the Lawrenceville Memorial Day parade. June 2: we will go on a hike. June 3: I will be at the Bryant Street Festival talking with people about Cub Scouts from 12pm-5pm. You are welcome to stop by. Over the summer, in addition to fun summer camps, we have fishing and swimming activities planned. We are still working out some details for our Cubmobile race, but I think that’s going to happen at the end of the summer. I’m hoping to get our older Cub Scouts together several times over the summer to work on knots and whittling. We start our weekly meetings again in September. Please let me know if you are interested in joining us at any of these activities or talking further about Cub Scouts. Feel free to share this note with anyone who might be interested.
