I just wanted to say thanks for a recent random act of kindness. I recently posted on the listserve about needing sheets for my mother's hospital bed. Many people responded, but I didn't actually connect with all of them when I replied. I was starting to feel defeated in my attempts. I returned home from visiting my mom and felt completely overwhelmed. Then I got a knock at my door and there was a stranger who had come to drop off sheets. He actually didn't have any lying around the house, so he went out and bought some! It may seem like a small gesture but it really touched me. I have to admit I broke down crying. The relief I experienced because of his simple gesture gave me hope that the tiny things I can do for my mom actually do make a difference. I don't want to put his name on here without his permission, but I did want to share. It made my day. Thank you for everyone who responded and rest assured I'm still looking for sheets. Patti
