a bit more on the Win10 Upgrade
Greetings, Adding some more info to Jeff Dumm’s post: I’ve see the Win10 upgrade crash 3 Win7 PCs, making them unbootable. The only solution at that point was restoring the factory image. So, I’d not recommend risking it. Also, ‘if’ you have upgraded, it worked, but don’t like it, you have 30 days to restore back to before the upgrade. After 30 days the files necessary for restoration are deleted automatically. One good way to avoid the “Get Windows 10” icon is to make sure your Windows Update settings are set to 1) Uncheck “recommended” 2) Uncheck “Microsoft Products” That way you’re only receiving “critical” security oriented updates. If you already have the “Get Windows 10” icon and want to remove it, and after setting your Windows Update settings to the above 1) 2), uninstall the update called “KB3035583” as defined in this article: http://www.howtogeek.com/218856/how-do-you-disable-the-get-windows-10-icon-s...
