[Highland Park] Highland Park web site update
The new Highland Park web site at <http://www.highlandparkpa.com/> is now mostly operational. It's very slow at the moment and still lacks a lot of the content that should be there but: - Registered users may submit calendar events and have them show up on the calendar. Access to this feature will likely be limited to neighborhood organizations. Several events are already listed on the calendar and they show up as "upcoming events" on the main page. If you're interested in this feature, let me know and I'll walk you through the process including the minor formatting issues that are required. - Registered users may submit "stories" that will be displayed on the main page. Access to this feature will be limited to neighborhood organizations. If you're interested in this feature, let me know and I'll walk you through the process including the minor formatting issues that are required. - There is a forums section for discussion of Highland Park topics right on the web page. This part of the site is disabled for now and probably won't be enabled until a couple of other issues are addressed. But once it's enabled registered users will be able to put content in this section of the web site. - There is an image gallery section for posting original images of Highland Park. This part of the site is disabled for now but once it's enabled registered users will be able to put content in this section of the web site too. Thanks again to the sponsor of the site: Nidhog, Inc. in Bloomfield (owned by a Highland Park resident). The provide hosting for free in return for their small banner ad on the site. They are working with me to address the slowness of the site but it still may be several weeks before that problem is fully resolved. Rudy
