A friend and I have done pretty well for ourselves over the past 3 summers with landscaping and moving jobs. As far as yard work is concerned, we do everything from lawn mowing to lawn tilling. We've gotten calls all over the city, so traveling isn't an issue. We each have full sized trucks, along with plenty of tools and experience. As far as moving is concerned, we're both strong, capable and dependable workers. Our knowledge and experience in moving any items, large or small, makes itself obvious within minutes. I say this because a recent client in North Huntingdon said exactly that. Our rates are fair: $15 per hour per person for yard work, with a $30 gas fee if you need anything hauled off of your property. However, please consider the fact that it is near-impossible to find legitimate places to dump dirt and/or rocks. If you know of a legitimate place that's a different story, but it's generally too difficult to accomodate. For moving jobs, our rates are simple: $25 per hour per person, with a flat rate of $30 for gas, for each truck.
