LOST DOG Her name is Mochi (MOH-CHEE) or Angel (her previous name). We lost our black and tan Shiba Inu, about 17 lbs, in Shadyside Friday June 6th, at 6 p.m. on Filbert Street. She is mostly black with tan legs and facial markings and is still shaved underneath from being spayed. She is a very shy rescue dog and will not approach strangers or come when called, though she is attracted to other dogs and to grassy areas. She was last seen crossing 5th Avenue near Wilkins going toward Squirrel Hill, wearing a purple collar with a green ivy design and two red, heart-shaped tags (as seen in the picture) which have her rabies and phone/address information (she is up-to-date on shots, but does not have a microchip). IMPORTANT: This dog is most likely hiding in a nearby park or in someone's backyard. She almost never barks and will probably be under a bush or wedged in a dark corner or under a porch. The way to lure her out it is by having a female sit very quietly nearby with cheese cubes, but she *will* come to her mom, so do call if you see her! She appears to be very afraid of men.
