Office of Councilman Patrick Dowd, March 2010 News and Updates Report Potholes. City crews are out repairing potholes. Please report any potholes using the city's web form <http://www.city.pittsburgh.pa.us/mayor/html/pothole.html> . The City's goal is to address all reports within five working days. PWSA Senior Center Visits. Councilman Dowd and the Customer Service Director of the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority will be visiting senior centers in District 7 to answer questions about changes to your PWSA bill and the new water and sewer line insurance opt-out program. They'll be in Morningside on March 11 at 11:00 am and Lawrenceville at 11:30 am on March 12. Free Tax Prep for Seniors/Low Income Filers. Check our website <http://www.city.pittsburgh.pa.us/district7/html/10_tax_prep.html> for a list of locations in or near District 7 where seniors and low income households can get free assistance with tax preparation. Upcoming Events Council to Go. March 10: From 6:30 to 8:00 pm, Councilman Dowd and staff will be in Polish Hill at the Polish Hill Civic Association <http://www.phcapgh.org/> , 3060 Brereton Street. March 24: From 5:30 to 7:00 pm, Councilman Dowd and staff will be in Highland Park at Tazza D'oro <http://tazzadoro.net/> , 1125 N. Highland Ave. Public Meetings. March 4: The Allegheny Riverfront Vision Plan will hold a community meeting at the Convention Center at 6:00 pm. March 9: City Council will hold a public hearing at 1:30 pm on increasing the amount of bicycle parking <http://bike-pgh.org/2009/10/action-alert-contact-your-councilperson-and -tell-them-to-vote-for-more-bike-parking/> in the City of Pittsburgh. We'd love to see bike advocates there!
