I just want to take a moment to say Welcome back from summer to all of our neighborhood schools' students: Pittsburgh Dilworth Pittsburgh Fulton Pittsburgh Obama I know we have lots of other kids who go to other schools in other neighborhoods in the city - I hope everyone had a wonderful first day and that their neighbors welcomed them as warmly as we'd like to welcome our schools' students! Nothing better for a neighborhood than a thriving school with engaged children, teachers who love and inspire them, and involved parents. Such an asset to the community on so many levels! I love seeing all the kids walking to school or the bus stop in the morning and walking home in the afternoon, from school and bus stops.
