PITTSBURGH, PA: Open Your Heart to a Senior, in partnership with Vintage Senior Center, will host a sing-a-long showing of The Wizard of Oz on Tuesday, January 19th 2015 at 12:30pm at Vintage Senior Center, 401 N. Highland Ave. Families, seniors and people of all ages are welcome to enjoy this classic movie with sing-a-long prompts and silly props. This event coincides with National Popcorn Day, and free popcorn will be served! This event is FREE, but attendees are encouraged to RSVP to guarantee a seat. The Wizard of Oz, released in theaters in 1939, tells the story of a young woman on a journey to self-knowledge with the help of several friends she makes along the way. This timeless movie reminds us that we are all we need to make a difference in the world. Open Your Heart to a Senior is a United Way-funded volunteer initiative that helps vulnerable seniors remain safe in their homes.
