[Highland Park] What to do with renovation debris
Here are the responses I got back from the renovation debris question I sent out a few weeks ago. Lots of good advice: thanks for your help! June There is a "transfer station" in Millvale - It's called the Reserve Park Landfill. They'll charge you about $20-$25 for an SUV worth of junk. You just drop it in their dumpster and they transport it to a landfill. Here's a link to a google map for directions. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=l&hl=en&geocode=&q=landfill&near=millvale,+pa& ie=UTF8&ll=40.497615,-79.985361&spn=0.026434,0.058365&z=14&iwloc=A&om=1 -Mark Reserve Park, a landfill in Millvale, charges $40-50 for half a pickup truck load. Their hours are 8-4 Mon-Fri and 8-12 on Saturday. If you have a means of transport, this might be your answer. –Jennifer You can put your debri in Contractor Bags (Home Depot) and put it out for the garbage men. Make sure the bags are not too heavy. If they are too heavy, they'll take just about anything for a little cash. –Ted 1. put small building debris and concrete in heavy duty plastic bags out for Sunday trash pickup - the garbage men have been kind enough to remove it 2. Asked Augustio Costa (landscaper around the corner on Sheridan (?) to pickup up cement and other items. He goes to a dump in Monroeville and has stopped by twice to help me out. His price has been very reasonable. –Cindi ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
