Hello HP Residents, I moved to Highland Park from Texas last July after I inherited a house on N. Saint Clair Street when a family member passed away. I now have a leak in my living room that I think is related to the gutters on my house. I have rounded area in my living room with a turret roof over it. The leak is happening in the turret part of the living room and only seems to happen when it rains really hard. I suspect is has something to do with the old box gutters and/or the newer aluminum gutters. Can anyone recommend someone I might call about having my leaky turret roof and gutters looked at to determine where the problem lies? Who have you used that did good work? Beyond that, I am also looking to have my house appraised. My family member's estate has been settled and the last thing left to do is to officially transfer ownership of the house to me. I'd like to have the house appraised first, though. Can anyone recommend a good appraiser? Or, is anyone out there a realtor who might be able to offer me a professional opinion as to what my house is worth? I'm a CMU grad student and am trying to figure out if the house is a good investment. When school is done next May, I will more than likely be leaving Pittsburgh but will keep the house for investment purposes if it seems worth doing so. Many thanks for any referrals.
