Pianist Emanuel Ax will be featured at the concert on February 9. On February 9, the entire Episcopal diocese--church members, guests, neighbors & friends--is invited to attend Episcopal Night at the Symphony, at Heinz Hall in downtown Pittsburgh. Tickets to the concert are available in several sections at a 25 percent discount, said Susy Robison, wife of St. Andrews Highland Park Rector Bruce Robison and volunteer director for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Pittsburgh Episcopalians will begin to gather with Bishop Henry and Catherine Scriven at 7 pm in the Simmons Regency Rooms on the lower level of Heinz Hall for an informal reception with a cash bar. The 8 pm performance will be conducted by Jahja Ling and features world renowned pianist Emanuel Ax. The program includes Mozarts Symphony No. 25 in G minor, Strausss Tod und Verklärung, [Death and Transfiguration], and the Brahms Concerto No. 1 in D minor for Piano and Orchestra. Tickets for these seats start at $20 in the Gallery. Seats are also available both in the Family Circle and on the Yellow section on the main floor for $35.
