Hello Neighbors! I am helping to organize the Falk School's holiday gift shop. Our school's gift shop sells only fair trade and locally made items. We are looking for additional local sources of merchandise. With our local vendors, we typically sell on consignment. We mark up the price 30% from wholesale prices; we pay the vendor wholesale prices for what sells and return what doesn't. We keep the mark up low because our primary customers are our students and we are looking for them to have a good experience with lots of choices - making a profit is not our priority. Also, since kids tend to have a limited budget, we are primarily looking for items that sell for $1 - 10. We do have room for some gifts that would sell for more, but our focus is on lower cost items (for example, handmade jewelry, knitted items, ornaments, homemade soaps, etc).
