my husband also wanted to add that the police officer told us that ALL and ANY incidents should be reported to them so that the police can keep a tally of incidents and determine if MORE police presence is needed in our area. don't be afraid to call the police over small incidents. ----------------------------------------

i live on n. highland. last night around 8:30 pm i heard a crash/thud sound out front. i turned on the porch light. when i got outside, my flower urn, which was sort of large, was tipped over and broken. i called police. they came out and made a report. there seems to be 3 kids, black, about 14 or 15 years old. two boys and one girl. there is a very strong possibility it was them. the officer said that even though this isnt a major incident, each small incident can eventually snowball into larger, more serious incidents, and the police should be notified of ANY incidents so they can keep track.

We went out for a walk around 8 p.m. this evening (Thursday). When we turned down Wayne Road, we saw a couple of very large urns that had held flowers that had been overturned and one was broken. We alerted a nearby homeowner. As we continued down Wayne Road, we saw another very large wooden flower box that had been torn off a lawn and thrown on the street. When we got back home on Jackson St., a neighbor asked us if we had had any urns or flower boxes broken. They had just been out for a hour or two and came back to find their flower boxes and urns knocked over and broken. We called 911 to let the police know about the vandalism. jai
