A simple automated addition to the article. (Quick background, I have worked in IT for almost 20 years but now focused on architecture and networking). There is a free program called "ccleaner" that was developed about 10 years ago. The function of the program is to literally clean out all of the clutter on your PC. This refers to the temp files, IE history and countless excess files not needed for your PC to run properly. It is much easier to do then actually going through and deleting them yourself and does improve performance on your system. They also have a paid version but the free one works quite well. CCLEANER<http://download.piriform.com/ccsetup408.exe>I suggest the advanced install and uncheck the radio buttons for installing chrome and the google toolbar unless you prefer to do so but toolbars also slow down your PC. Once installed, load the application by clicking the shortcut on your desktop or right click the recycle bin and choose run ccleaner. I would leave all default settings in place under options but it really is a great program. They also have a version for the MAC. Happy Holidays!
