You can now recycle rechargeable batteries at the Nuin Center at 5655 Bryant Street in the "call2recycle" box located in the lobby. How do you know if a battery is rechargeable? Look for "recycle", "rechargeable" or Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, Ni-Zn, Li-ion or Pb imprinted on the battery or pack. This includes lap top batteries. Then, just put each battery into its own bag (available at the recycling box) - one battery per bag - tie the bag and put it in the box. Easy. There is another box at Nuin for cell phone recycling that benefits the Women's Shelter.
