Hi, Neighbors -- Last Friday afternoon we discovered that the screen on one of our kitchen windows was slashed and pulled down. We called the police to report an attempted break-in. They took our report and the Pittsburgh 'CSI' team came out to dust for fingerprints. Luckily, they were able to collect several prints and will run them through their data bases. We hope they find a match . . . the detective told us that there have been a string of break-ins in our neighborhood recently. Anyway, this is another reminder to be aware, to keep doors and windows locked despite the warm temps, and to report any suspicious activity to the police. Thanks, Laura Dietz and Jim Holtzman
