[Highland Park] Democratic mayoral debate on March 17th
Hi, I am posting this for a friend... Thanks so much, Mary Roberge
Hello,
My name is Erik Rauterkus and I am a senior at The Barack Obama Academy of International Studies (located in the Peabody building). I am also the Youth Governor of Pennsylvania through the statewide program Youth and Government. Youth and Government is a program dedicated to getting youth and young adults more involved in political action and community service.
Pittsburgh's local Youth and Government chapter in conjunction with The Barack Obama Academy of International Studies will be hosting a democratic mayoral debate on March 17th at 1:30 pm. The debate will take place in the auditorium of the Peabody High School building.
Mayor Luke Ravenstahl, Council Member Bill Peduto, City Controller Michael Lamb will all be in attendance. The debate will cover a wide range of topics that impact all residents of Pittsburgh, but will have a focus on issues that impact youth, young adults, families, and community members in the East End of the city.
This is a free community event and the students would appreciate your support by attending this event to hear the candidates discuss important issues that will face all the citizens of Pittsburgh. Please spread the word about this debate to friends and family so that we can all make an informed choice in the primary.
Doors open at 1:00 pm and the debate starts promptly at 1:30 pm.
SAVE THE DATE: March 17th at 1:30 pm!! At the Peabody High School Building!
