April 17, 2021: Plants & Pollinators *The Highland Park Garden Club of Pittsburgh* invites you to the third program in their virtual *Sustainable Gardening* *Series*. *NATIVE PLANTS AND POLLINATORS IN OUR GARDENS.* For this month’s Zoom meeting, we are partnering with the *Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania* to bring you a program that will examine the crucial relationship between plants and their pollinators and how we can enhance that relationship with our gardening decisions. Topics include planting for blooms across the seasons and choosing appropriate native plant species for problem areas - for example, to arrest erosion and provide groundcover - all while supporting pollinators. Now is the time to plan our 2021 gardens! The presenter, *Ryan Stauffer*, is a Naturalist and Environmental Educator with the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania. He has taught classes and workshops throughout the region and seeks to empower people to create their own nature-friendly spaces in yards and gardens. He grew up on a grass fed, no-till farm adjacent to Jennings Environmental Education Center and Moraine State Park and enjoys mapping geologic features of the Ice Age. *Saturday, April 17, 2021* *10.00 a.m. – 11.00 a.m*.
