[Highland Park] Frances (Rae) Mitchell Brooks
I'm very sorry to pass along the news of the death this morning, after a long illness, of our beloved friend and long-time neighbor Frances (Rae) Mitchell Brooks--widow of the Rev. Dr. Ralph P. Brooks, who was 14th Rector of St. Andrew's Church, Highland Park, Pittsburgh, serving in this parish and neighborhood from 1960 - 1993. Arrangements are in the planning process right now, but it appears tentatively that visitation will be at McCabe's, on Walnut Street, on Friday, August 2, and with Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 2510 Middle Road, Glenshaw, on Saturday, August 3. She will also be remembered with special prayers at the 9:30 a.m. service of the Holy Communion at St. Andrew's Church this coming Sunday, August 4. (Service held in the Hicks Memorial Chapel of the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, 616 N. Highland Avenue.) I'll update with hours when I receive them later this afternoon. With love and prayers for the kids, for Tony, and for all family and loved ones. May she rest in peace and rise in glory. Bruce Robison http://www.standrewspgh.org http://revbmrobison.blogspot.com/
